We’ve had confirmation there will be a by-election held in the Bishopton ward for Stratford Town Council on Thursday 9 June, due to one of the two Liberal Democrat ward councillors resigning.

The Town Council has an important role alongside the District Council and we want to ensure the people of Bishopton will have a Labour councillor to represent their interests. Luckily, a lot of canvassing and campaigning was already underway in the area and we have a great candidate, Lee Rhodes, ready to hit the ground running.

Lee lives in Stratford with his wife Mandy and has two teenaged children, both now at university. Lee is also Stratford CLP Policy Officer and Stratford Town Branch Campaigns Coordinator so he has all the right experience to take on this role. You can learn a bit more about Lee below.
